Darkman is, of course, Sam Raimi's magnum opus R-rated superhero movie that I saw when I was way, way too young to be watching R-rated movies. The original stars Liam Neeson as the titular hero who, after being horrifically burned, develops an artificial skin that allows him to duplicate anybody's face for brief periods of time. Two direct-to-VHS sequels replaced Neeson with Arnold Vosloo who was swaddled up in bandages long before he took on the title role in The Mummy. 

Darkman was not a box office hit, and while it's gone on to have some cult success, it's never quite broken into the mainstream. So being a 10 year-old kid running around pretending to be Darkman meant spending most of my time trying to explain to adults who the Hell I was.

I'm still far prouder of coming up with the line "Tutankhamun by gaslight" than I have any right to be.
