I have a long-lasting love and fascination with Berkeley Breathed's Bloom County and its many offshoots. In fact, I would argue that the entirety of my attempted comic strip career is based around hoping that, one day, I could get even close to Breathed's work. This definitely felt like I was reaching for the Bloom County brass ring.
